but i asked this question to find the legality of this issue before reporting someone to the USCIS that i know is doing this.I just used I instead of someone in my thread to start the discussion.

I have a similar issue, Applied for a EAD that is expiring in Sep08 on June10th08, Got EAD approved from NSC on July7th and saw that the new EAD Card is valid from 01/01/08 to 01/01/09, so in effect its extended by 4 months.
Planning to call NSC to see what I can do,

Hi one question,,,if I go home to my country to study using H4 while my GC is pending,then suddenly the GC was sent to my sister here in US,can my sister just mail my GC to me in my country so that if i go back here in the US,i can present my GC to the US immigration???uh!im confussed!thanks!
Congratulations on your GC. Yes, tell your sister to send you the GC by mail. Once you get it, you can get back into the U.S. using your GC. I know few people who have done this. Good luck.

I agree with Eb2India, It appears to be a mistake or typo on the part of USCIS.
You should approcah them. Hopefully they will react the same way as his case and you will get extended EAD. Goodluck

Folks, wanted to share the feedback from my immigration attorney, the attorney office which did my h1b, h4, eb3 etc, it is a pretty big firm and has good reputation.
The attorney clearly told me, that as long as there is no salary and if it is volunteering then we can go ahead whether it is profit making or non-profit it does not matter.
Now im still confused what do i do......
to be on safer side i may suggest going for non-profit org.

What is new in your post ? It was like that for a few weekes now.
I see that for EB2 the PD is 01 APR 2004 now. I want to know if I-485 approvals is linked to this PD date or they will work independent to these days.

The reason for rushing the application is that it could retrogress midway during the month of July. It may seem unlikely but you never know. That's one reason to file it as early as possible.
But i did not know the attorney would like to file it in June for me. I just wanted to find out if anyone's sent it early and received receipt.
